This is a great place to stay. Friendly people, great secluded area. The cabins are well kept and clean. I was concerned about what the shared bathrooms would be like, but there wasn't any problem. The bathrooms were clean, and availability was fine. There horses in a corral that adds to the character and authenticity of the ranch. I would definitely recommend, and I would stay here again without reservation.

Alaska Horseman Trail Adventures provided my family a vacation of a lifetime. The mountains, wildlife, horses and scenery were great, but our guides, Alex and Gretchen, made the experience several times greater than it might have been. They were so passionate and hospitable and their enthusiasm for the beauty was infectious. They truly magnified the experience. These guides were so admirable, that I hoped their passion, toughness, patience, and kindness were rubbing off on my 11 and 13 year old kids. They were great role models and a lot fun.

I brought my 1yo and 4yo, they both enjoyed the cabin and the horses. The cabin we rented was small and cozy, I enjoyed it very much. Linens were fresh and there was access to a common kitchen. Being our 4yo was a little young for a trail ride we got a short 15min ride around the ranch.(she Loved it) All the folks there seemed very knowledgeable in there roles and there always was something happening. I am going back and bringing more family as this was the perfect little retreat.

Alex, Gretchen, Josie, Sam and Josh were all fantastic hosts! This trip was with a large office group, Alaska Colorectal Surgery, and we had an amazing time. The scenery was beautiful, the atmosphere was authentic and the memories created for staff and families was forever. A special thank you to Alaska Horsemen Trail Adventures. I highly recommend this company.

This horse ranch and the wranglers made our Alaska experience. Not only are they experienced, friendly and courteous, they also helped us with all our other travel requirements, and outdoor adventures. The rides were fantastic. We rode long distances , camped overnight, we blazed new trails, rode through streams and lakes, and ate great meals they cooked. They even caught , and cooked the salmon we ate! They made sure we were comfortable the entire time. There is no other adventure that can compare to this one.

On the drive from Anchorage to Kenai, when I was just a kid, the engine of our old dodge van spontaneously caught fire in Cooper Landing and we pulled to the side of the road. The family that runs Alaska Horsemen happened to be driving by and pulled over to ask us if we were okay. We told them we were okay, but had a few more hours to go and weren't sure what to do. Asking nothing in return, they took us to their home and allowed us to stay in one of their cabins for the night, then drove us to our destination the next day. And in the meantime, the daughter (whose name I wish I could remember), let me come outside with her to ride one of their horses around the yard. These people made what would've been a nightmare into a dream, out of the kindness of their hearts. I will never forget them.

If your looking for a good time riding through the Alaska bush, this is the place. Our guide Dwayne was extremely helpful and made sure everyone was comfortable on their horses. We even got to do more trails because we were decent riders. Even if you have never ridden a horse, you will know how by the time you leave. Thanks Alaska Horseman!
